This is likely to have affected multiple internet providers using BT
Update
22 May 2012 08:45:20

BT confirm that they have a fault open for this. It's affecting around 50,000 lines who connect via BT nodes in Faraday.

BT say there will be an update by 09:30.

Update
22 May 2012 08:53:28

It looks like likes are reconneting, a few are back online.

Update
22 May 2012 09:05:03

Around 50% of lines affected are now back, lines are still reconnecting so if you're still down you should reconnect shortly.

Update
22 May 2012 09:38:20

Most lines are back up and BT say they restored service by a 'software reconfiguration'.

If your line is still off please try restarting the router.

However, we are stil seeing some lines off (mostly on 21CN-BRAS-RED5-L-FAR), we are chasing BT on these.

Update
22 May 2012 10:14:44

The issue is resolved.
The fault was that a new card was configured incorrectly.

If your line is still down then please reboot your router. If after that you are still unable to get only please contact support as we will need to report a fault to BT to get the port flexed.

Resolution

Software config change.
